Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Valve Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) – Manual valves.

Job responsibilities:

•    Be the Valve Guru: Develop detailed technical specifications for valves and piping components, drawing on your in-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
•    From Spec to Site: Manage the entire valve procurement process, including vendor selection, technical follow-up, and ensuring adherence to specifications and delivery timeframes.
•    Quality Champion: Conduct and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to guarantee valves meet required standards and performance criteria.
•    Knowledge Share & Build: Contribute to establishing and maintaining comprehensive specifications for piping and valves, guiding future projects and team members.
•    Embrace Innovation: Explore and recommend new technologies and solutions to optimize piping component selection and performance.
•    Team Player: Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Your experience and qualifications:

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (or relevant technical college education and experience).
•    Proven experience working with piping valves in the Oil & Gas or similar industries.
•    In-depth understanding of relevant standards and specifications, including ASME B31.3, EN 13480, and EN 13445.
•    Experience using engineering software like E3D and TIME (a plus).
•    Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal.
•    Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
•    Collaborative team player with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
