Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Structural engineer – Discipline Lead 26374.

Job responsibilities:
–  Lead and take responsibility for all structural engineering activities within the assigned project.
–  Prepare man-hour estimates, schedules, and manpower resource requirements to meet project objectives.
–  Ensure job progress aligns with the schedule and meets the required quality standards.
–  Establish need dates for the assignment of personnel on the job.
–  Supervise, assign, and schedule work for the entire structural team on the project.
–  Maintain regular contact with clients and other discipline Lead Engineers to ensure accurate, timely communication and the smooth flow of information.

Your experience and qualifications:
–  Minimum 5 years of experience as a Discipline Engineer.
–  Knowledge of relevant design rules and standards.
–  Detailed understanding of PEM, Discipline engineering methods & tools, and processes in relevant execution phases.
–  Familiarity with requirements for interfacing with other disciplines and parties, as well as EMM best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
–  Experience in Structural calculations.
–  Adequate knowledge of contract, budgeting, change, and risk management.
–  Management capabilities, proactive with good communication and coordination skills.
–  Proficiency in software such as Sesam Genie, STAAPro, Naviswork, Mathcad, and E3D.
–  Master's or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
–  Fluent in both Norwegian and English, both written and oral.
