Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Stress Analyses Engineer – Senior 25594.

Job responsibilities:
–  Identify and select stress critical lines from Process P&IDs based on NORSOK guidelines.
–  Perform comprehensive stress analysis on critical piping systems on an offshore oil & gas platform such as compressor and pump lines, flare systems, flow-lines etc by use of Caesar II software.
–  Through visual checks or by hand calculations, identify flexibility and pipe support requirements for non-critical lines.
–  Perform detailed checking of calculations made by other stress engineers.
–  Maintain close cooperation with other disciplines such as piping layout, pipe supports, structural, construction etc in implementing an optimal design.
–  Perform calculations and qualify various piping components including flanges, fittings and nozzles as per relevant standards such as ASME, API, NEMA-SM23.
–  Perform dynamic calculations involving slugging, surge, fatigue.
–  Perform screening exercises for potential vibrations in all systems and implement mitigating solutions.
 

Your qualifications:
Required Education:
–  Bachelor or Master degree
 
Required Work Experience:
–  Minimum 12 years EPC new build experience. Offshore design experience preferred.
–  Knowledge of Finite element analysis software will be an advantage, but is not a pre requisite.
–  Experienced user of Caesar II software for stress calculations.
 
Required Qualifications:
–  Good knowledge of several required standards such as API, ASME, NEMA-SM23, etc.
–  Good knowledge and experience in Norwegian standards (NORSOK, DNV) and Client Technical Requirements (Equinor, AkerBP) is highly preferred.
–  Good multi discipline understanding.
–  Cooperative working attitude and acceptance of multicultural working teams.
–  Good English communication skills required.

To be accepted as a candidate you must be located within EU – preferable in Norway. Important with valid work permit for Norway if not located in Norway.
