Job responsibilities:

•    Plan and execute technical safety deliverables in projects.
•    Develop and update safety philosophies and strategies.
•    Prepare design specifications, detailed engineering, and reports for safety systems/equipment, area classification, ignition source control, shutdown procedures, fire & gas detection, fire protection, escape, and evacuation.
•    Create and update safety documents and drawings.
•    Provide input for procurement packages and coordinate with suppliers.
•    Assess risk levels for various solutions using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
•    Plan, prepare, and document safety design reviews, including HAZID, safety assessments, and ALARP evaluations.
•    Assist in coordinating third-party analyses and perform verifications.
•    Support Functional Safety/SIL activities and reporting.

Your Experience and Qualifications:

•    BSc or MSc degree in science or engineering.
•    At least 5 years of relevant experience in technical safety engineering within the Norwegian Oil & Gas industry or a related field.
•    Strong knowledge of Norwegian regulations, including NORSOK standards such as S-001.
•    Familiarity with other relevant industry standards.
•    Proactive mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
•    Ability to work independently.
•    Must be available to work in Norway.
•    Fluent in Norwegian and English; team player, communicative, outgoing, and hands-on.
