Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Nightshift Superintendent with significant Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Construction experience to join the company for a refinery revamp project in Sweden.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the nightshift activities of construction contractors major project within an existing refinery environment
• Coordinate with the dayshift teams to ensure that all of the nightshift work is adequately defined and prepared and that handovers are carried out efficiently between the shifts
• Work with the planning team to ensure that the nightshift activities are adequately scheduled and that monitoring/control systems are in place
• Work with the dayshift General Superintendent and assigned discipline supervision, to manage the construction contractors during the nightshift
• Ensure that all nightshift preparation and execution activities comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
• Coordinate with the quality control and turnover teams to ensure that all necessary documentation for inspection and turnover are prepared and completed during the nightshift
• Coordinate and manage the presence of any vendor representatives or specialist contractors during the nightshift
• The role is a multi-discipline role, however, a strong piping or mechanical background is preferred

Your qualifications:

• Significant experience of working in Live Plant, Greenfield and Turnaround / Revamp work for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Power Plant, or others similar type of plants
• Extensive track record managing Construction activities within Refinery or Petrochemical sector
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Considerable experience of supervising contractors to achieve effective construction execution

To be accepted as a candidate you must be located within EU – preferable in Norway with valid work permit
