Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer – PRE (Package Responsible Engineer) 27387.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to manage project work and deliver documentation according to customer and internal standards. You will drive improvements in work methods and support project strategies and processes.
 

Job responsibilities:
•    Mechanical engineering for mechanical equipment. Such as, but not limited to pumps, compressors, valves, actuators, pressure vessels and heat exchanger.
•    Establish technical requisitions, datasheets and specifications for procurement. 
•    Bid evaluation, evaluation and deviation handling of supplier towards: 
•    Marine rules and relevant contract specific requirements. 
•    Multidiscipline coordination/comments.
•    Package responsible (PRE):
    o    Valve List, Master Equipment List, weight estimates, equipment dimension estimates etc.
    o    Supplier follow up – reviewing/commenting/approving all relevant documentation
    o    Participate in kick off meetings and Pre-Inspection Meetings 
    o    Participate in FAT 
    o    Proactively work with document control to ensure documentation is timely issued and distributed.
    o    Participate in or manage vendor progress meetings.
•    Contribute to efficient project execution to the right quality, cost and time.
•    Advise and teach other engineers on own area of expertise.

Your experience and qualifications:
•    Higher technical education, Bachelor degree- or similar in relevant subjects
•    Accuracy in work not affecting the efficiency
•    Excellent communication skills 
•    Fluent English both verbally and in writing; Norwegian skills is an advantage.
•    Experience with LNG and/or Marine business
•    3-15 years of experience as PRE.
