Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Mechanical and piping construction engineer 28038.

Job responsibilities:
•    Be part of Company’s technical team delivering the Oslo CCS project 
•    Follow-up that contractors deliver according to requirements in contracts with special focus on construction and documentation of process piping/mechanical structures. 
•    Participate in follow-up construction at contractor’s premises and at Company’s construction site. Hereunder follow-up of quality/progress/documentation/man-hours spent (if applicable). 
•    Quality and HSE follow up.

Your experience and qualifications:
•    Minimum 10 years’ experience from large projects with follow-up of process piping/mechanical structures and packages 
•    Physical attendance at the described work locations 
•    Necessary technical competence in industrial piping and mechanical 
•    Good verbal and written skills in both Norwegian (must have) and English 

Job Specifications: 
The application deadline for this position is ASAP, but we will also consider candidates for similar or other relevant positions consecutively.

The work location will vary throughout the different phases of the project. During the initial months, you will be based in the Oslo area (Fornebu/Skøyen/Klemetsrud). After this phase, the primary workplace will move to Stord, where you will follow up mechanical fabrication and piping activities.
The role also includes some travel to suppliers across Europe for inspections, reviews, and technical follow-ups.
Once the prefabrication and manufacturing phases are completed, the work location will shift back to the construction sites in Oslo (Klemetsrud and the Port of Oslo).
We are therefore looking for someone who is flexible and comfortable working across multiple locations as the project progresses.
