The Raia Development Project encompasses the development of the Raia Manta and Raia Pintada fields located in the Campos Basin in Brazil. The license is located approximately 200 km from shore, in water depths up to 2900 meters. The license owners are Equinor 35 % (operator), Repsol Sinopec Brazil 35 % and Petrobras 30%. The concept comprises one floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) capable of processing gas and oil/condensate. The FPSO will have a production capacity of 16 million cubic meters of gas per day and approximately 126 000 barrels of oil per day. Start-up is expected in 2028. The design life is 30 years. MODEC Inc. has been awarded an EPCI-contract for engineering and construction of the FPSO. MODEC has subcontracted the construction of the hull to COSCO Shipping Offshore Co. Ltd., Qidong, Jiangsu province, China. Steel-cut is planned in December 2023. Job responsibilities:
The “Hull Delivery Manager” is responsible for safe and timely delivery of the Raia FPSO Hull, within agreed cost and with the right quality. The position is reporting to the FPSO Hull & Living Quarter Manager and is a part of Equinor’s follow-up team at the Cosco, Qidong yard, representing the license owners. The “Hull Delivery Manager” shall collaborate closely with the EPCI-contractor MODEC, supporting MODEC and its subcontractor COSCO to accomplish a successful delivery of the Hull. The position will manage a team of local inspectors within HSE and technical disciplines contributing to zero unwanted incidents and quality deviations. 

Your qualifications:
The applicant has experience from similar roles in constructing FPSOs at Chinese yards, preferably COSCO. He/she is fluent in English, desirably also Chinese. The candidate must be able to map and understand the strengths and weaknesses of the yard and adapt the follow-up of the owner’s team accordingly. The successful applicant is an excellent team player and motivator with the ability to build strong relations across company borders for common success – One Team-approach. The position holder should hold a master’s degree in marine engineering or similar. Long relevant experience may compensate for formal education. 

To be accepted as a candidate you must be located within EU – preferable in Norway with valid work permit.
