Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Field Engineer – Surface Treatment and Insulation 26336.

Job responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to production teams to solve technical challenges encountered during building or installation work at construction sites.
• Aid in interpreting drawings and job packages to support fabrication.
• Engage in engineering tasks by providing technical documentation and proposing solutions.
• Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) as well as quality performance throughout all tasks.
• Continuously seek improvements in work processes and products within the designated responsibility area.
• Collaborate with relevant disciplines such as Fabrication, Engineering, Planning, and Production departments to ensure smooth interfaces.
• Initiate and manage technical queries while striving for construction-friendly solutions.
• Conduct inspections and examinations of structures before surface treatment, including paint and insulation inspections.
• Input and finalize punch items in the IT system.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Hold a degree (Msc, Bsc, Technical College) or possess other relevant education and experience, with the latter potentially compensating for formal education.
• Demonstrated experience in the Architect and HVAC fields.
• Approximately five years of relevant experience.
• Possess certification as a FROSIO inspector level III, NACE coating inspector level III, or ICorr inspector level III in surface treatment and insulation.
• Willingness and availability to work in Norway.
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, coupled with the ability to work well in a team environment.
