Project description
The Ostwind 4 (OST-2-4) project is a grid connection for an offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. The grid connection is being realized by 50Hertz. A capacity of 2 GW is to be transported onshore. The offshore grid connection, consisting of a power cable system and an offshore and onshore converter station, will connect the O-2.2 cluster with the Stilow onshore substation.

Job responsibilities:
•    Review of project quality documentation provided by contractors, to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards, and responding to QA related technical queries (TQs).
•    Specify oversight of coating and review of coating specifications
•    Developing, documention and roll-out all required processes
•    Consultancy throughout the development and approval of the ITPs, audit plans and acceptance tests
•    Definition and monitoring of KPI to assure an equal level of quality throughout the project
•    Consulting the project management team in all matters related to QA
•    Implementation of the client’s guidelines for quality assurance in projects
•    Publication and updating of ITPs and measures in order to ensure the correct implementation of the plan
•    Implementation of required quality measures amongst all involved companies
•    Informing and training of all contractors and applicable subcontractors concerning quality requirements for each party
•    Regular monitoring of the correct utilization of processes and guidelines by contractors and the reporting thereof
•    Highlight realistic possibilities to minimize quality problems
•    Check and summarizing of inspection reports
•    Definition of follow-up actions arising from quality assurance measures, the overall control reports and coordination workshops
•    Consulting of contractors in the area of filing non-conformity-reports (NCR) and monitoring that the documentation is complete
•    Tracking of NCRs
•    Specification, coordination and input to the as-built documentation
•    Approval of contractors ITPs
•    Reporting, analysis and recommendations
•    Review of quality reports
•    Execution of audits and documentation of observations related to the contractor's QMS

Project objective of the consultancy to be used:
Provision of quality assurance consulting services throughout design, fabrication, and commissioning phases, including the review and assessment of QA procedures and quality documentation; planning and execution of quality audits; preparation of audit reports and documented findings; identification of non-conformities and improvement opportunities; and development of recommendations to support quality-related project decisions and ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements.

Your experience and qualifications:
•    Degree in engineering or similar
•    Competency in the areas of welding and/or protective coating is a plus (e.g. IWE, NACE, FROSIO)
•    Experience with risk-based management
•    Experience in the offshore wind business in the area of quality
•    Experience with jacket fabrication is a plus
•    German is a plus
•    Knowledgeable of the specific rules and regulations, e.g. Offshore Codes (BSH; DNV), HSE related codes, industry best practices
•    Frosio certification is a plus

Necessary skills (Must-haves):
•    Degree or certificate as a Welding Engineer
•    NDT education
•    Fluent in English (mind. C1)
