Be responsible for daily support of cost controlling in the respective department or defined area. Provide cost control, month end closure and assist within budget administration for relevant activities in accordance with company procedures and best practice.  

Job responsibilities:

•    Be responsible for daily support of cost controlling in Drilling & Wells. Provide cost control, month end closure and assist within budget administration for relevant activities in accordance with company procedures and company best practice  
•    Responsible for invoice handling and secure processing and controlling in accordance with contract and accurate allocation of cost to the right cost elements    
•    Coordinate and ensure delivery of Well Reconciliation  
•    Coordinate cost information and support respective business areas in preparation of overall plan, budgets, and forecasts  
•    Facilitate and/or support Monthly Accruals Process  
•    Identify opportunities for improvement and new ways of working, and ensure that concerns and issues are addressed, and relevant actions are taken 
•    Controlling of invoices and verify cost elements in line with company structure 
•    Control and secure correct use of GL accounts, cost center and WBS 
•    Coordinate and deliver/provide Well Reconciliation 
•    Monitor Call Offs and do follow up and control of time writing and WBSs 
•    Support and advise the business line in cost related cases 
•    Secure month end activities
•    Create and structure financial reports and relevant analysis  
•    Monitor and follow up on budget and analysis and commenting on cost variances 
•    Analyze cost variances and foster budget compliance  
•    Shape cost control strategies  
•    Collaborate with team members, relevant leadership and external stakeholders  
•    Drive initiatives; etc. cost-saving and financial improvements  
•    Contribute with insights for budget and forecasting  

Your experience and qualifications:

•    Bachelor or Master degree within relevant subject in business administration and economics
•    6-9 years of relevant experience, in accounting or controlling
•    SAP experience
•    Excellent communication skills, written and oral, preferably in both Norwegian and English
