Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a ATEX Coordinator (MC / Field Support)   28300

Job responsibilities:
•    Act as the project’s main contact person and technical authority during Mechanical Completion, ensuring correct execution, inspection quality, and compliance with Ex requirements. 
•    The role exists to support MC/Ex field engineers, prevent systematic Ex errors, and protect the project from late rework and compliance risk. 
Key Responsibilities: 
•    Act as main ATEX focal point of contact for all ATEX matters. 
•    Provide interpretation of EN/IEC 60079, project Ex strategies, and client requirements.
•    Provide practical and technical Ex clarification and guidance to MC/Ex inspectors . 
•    Perform spot checks of completed initial Ex inspections. 
•    Verify that MCCR-Z-99 checklists are correctly and fully completed. 
•    Communicate lessons learned across teams and sites. 
•    Ensure consistency between installed equipment, initial inspection records, and Ex documentation.

Your experience and qualifications:
•    Understanding of Norwegian regulatory requirements (Havtil) and the ATEX directives. 
•    Proven competence in Ex inspection and verification in accordance with EN/IEC 60079-14 and 60079-17. 
•    Ability review, validate, and challenge completed Ex inspection check sheets and identify deficiencies. 
•    Strong practical understanding of Ex equipment, Types of Protection, Ex Markins and installation practices. 
•    Experience providing hands-on technical guidance and clarification to MC/Ex field inspectors. 
•    Ability to identify systematic Ex errors, initiate corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned across teams. 
•    Able to act as MC Field engineer Ex focal point, ensuring consistency between installation, inspection, and documentation.
