The Commissioning Lead for Electrical systems is responsible for providing planning input, direction, guidance and supervision of commissioning activities. The role is on a multidiscipline level, including verification and assurance. The Commissioning Lead will ensure that commissioning requirements are carried out safely, efficiently, and ensure they meet all project and operational requirements.

Job responsibilities:

•    Lead and coordinate commissioning activities within your discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process) to ensure safe and efficient startup of facilities and systems.
•    Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists according to project requirements, standards, and regulations.
•    Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with HSE requirements and quality standards.
•    Collaborate closely with project engineers, construction teams, operations personnel, and other discipline leads to ensure integrated and coordinated startup.
•    Monitor and report progress and identify and resolve any technical issues during the commissioning phase.
•    Responsible for performing and leading system testing, functional testing, and performance testing.
•    Document and verify test results to ensure all systems operate according to specifications before handover to operations.
•    Provide training and knowledge transfer to operations personnel
•    Provide input to Completion Execution planning
•    Develop Commissioning procedures for the Discipline and input to multi discipline procedures
•    Project Commissioning status reports incl. Hanging Gardens Schedule
•    Endorse quality of content within the Completion Tool PIMS
•    Endorse and verify Construction/MC based upon the RFCC process as defined by the Completion Philosophy
•    Document Completion Handover (RFOC`s) to Operations

Your experience and qualifications:

•    MSc. Or BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
•    Experience from NORSOK projects.
•    System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
•    Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage
•    Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
•    Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities
•    Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
•    Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimum direction.
•    Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
•    Actively seeks out expertise and best practice, related to own area of contribution.
•    Willingly takes the lead when challenges arise.
•    Actively promotes open and effective communication.
•    Strong planning and organizing ability.
•    Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge.
•    Looks for ways to do things better, faster, more efficiently according to LEAN principles.
•    Focuses effort and prioritizes work to deliver business value.
•    Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
•    Use SAFER as an inspiration / follower in daily work
