Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Tech. safety / Functional safety (SIL) specialist

Job responsibilities:

You will be working as Functional Safety (SIL) specialist together with other colleagues for one of our projects and your responsibility will include, but not limited to:

• Establish Functional Safety Management Plan for the project (initiated in FEED phase), including strategy for lean and efficient SIL documentation work
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to disciplines responsible for safety system`s design
• Collect and prepare input to LOPA from HAZOPs
• Establish FEED Safety Requirement Specification (SRS), including targets of safety unavailability for SIS
• Prepare SIL Compliance report upon completion of FEED
• Provide SIL input to package specifications
• Engage with 3rd party regarding verification of functional safety work and deliverables
• Prepare responses to any comments made by the Certifying Authority Arrange and document regular meetings with Company counterpart(s)

Your qualifications:

• MSc degree in relevant field (mathematics, statistics, RAMS, electronics engineering etc.)
• min. 5 years relevant experience in design and risk assessment of safety instrumented systems
• Application of principles in IEC 61511 and Equinor requirements
• Experience of supporting Functional Safety activities
• Good knowledge of risk assessment and functional safety software
• Fluency in written and spoken English

To be accepted as a candidate you must be located within EU – preferable in Norway with valid work permit
