Job responsibilities:

•    Serve as an SAS Engineer on EPCI modification and/or maintenance contracts.
•    Lead the design and integration of SAS (Safety and Automation Systems) to meet project requirements.
•    Participate in fire and gas safety reviews to ensure compliance with safety standards.
•    Develop system designs for process, utility, and electrical systems, including interfaces, functional specifications (FS), SCDs, and HMI inputs.
•    Specify, dimension, and integrate process control and monitoring systems.
•    Specify, dimension, and integrate safety shutdown systems (ESD and PSD).
•    Oversee system design for equipment packages and electrical automation systems.
•    Create solutions tailored to client requirements.
•    Liaise with vendors, review their technical documentation, and participate in testing activities such as FAT.
•    Take ownership of the procurement process for single or multidiscipline packages within the project.
•    Ensure all necessary vendor and engineering information is identified and effectively communicated to project stakeholders, including other disciplines, suppliers, and the client.
•    Develop and finalize engineering documents and data registers.
•    Prepare a range of engineering documents, such as Fire & Gas (F&G), Cause & Effect (C&E) diagrams, SCDs, ESD/PSD block logic diagrams, and work packages.
•    Perform analyses and calculations in accordance with IEC 61508/61511 and effectively translate process functionality to the system supplier.
•    Monitor and verify supplier documentation, ensuring the quality of both software and hardware deliverables.

Your experience and qualifications:

•    A degree in MSc, BSc, Technical College, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
•    At least 5 years of experience as an engineer.
•    Familiarity with Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) standards and NORSOK regulations.
•    Extensive experience in Oil & Gas projects.
•    Proficient in using TIME, Visio, and SAP software.
•    Competence in specifying, dimensioning, and integrating process control and monitoring systems.
•    Expertise in specifying, dimensioning, and integrating fire and gas detection, protection, and shutdown systems, including field devices.
•    Ability to specify, dimension, and integrate safety shutdown systems (ESD and PSD).
•    Experience in taking full responsibility for the procurement process for both discipline-specific and multidiscipline packages.
•    Capability to provide support during installation and mechanical completion (MC) of SAS-related equipment and modifications.
•    Strong skills in developing and maintaining system design documentation, such as system philosophies, specifications, and alarm specifications.
