Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Area Design/Layout

Job responsibilities:

• Working in the electrical design group in a greenfield oil and gas project
• Ensure that statutory requirements, design basis, specifications, standards and corporate requirements are adhered to
• Supervise and lead a team of electrical designers located in workshare office in another country
• Plan, performing and review the design of cable ladder, bracket design, lighting & small power, cable routing, equipment modelling, electrical room layouts, electrical field design,
• Attend area meetings with other disciplines (i.e. Structural, Piping, Safety and HVAC etc.)
• Review and implement vendor information for equipment package interface into area design
• Follow-up of tie-in and hook-up activities affecting EIT disciplines
• Follow-up of verification activities to ensure quality in the disciplines work.

Your qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience from area design in an EPC environment, preferably from the oil and gas industry
• Work in team, also with teams from different locations
• Good knowledge of typical electrical equipment used in the oil and gas industry
• Experience from PDMS/E3D or other similar applications/systems
• Multidiscipline understanding (typ. piping, structure, instrument)
• Experience/practice from shipyards or other Installation companies is an advantage
• Education: Bachelor / Master of engineering
• SoftWare Skills: 3D Modelling
• Language Skills : English

To be accepted as a candidate you must be located within EU – preferable in Norway with valid work permit
