Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customer we are now looking for a Acoustics and Noise Control Engineer – Wisting.

Job responsibilities:

• Specification, evaluation and implementation of noise control and acoustic requirements in design in accordance with required noise and acoustics legislation (mostly NORSOK S-002)
• Specification and follow-up of noise emitting equipment packages
• Calculation and prediction of area noise levels using relevant software (CADNA R is our primary tool)
• Specification and evaluation of sound insulation and sound absorption requirements for building elements
• Evaluation and calculation of public address (PA) systems
• Cooperate and coordinate with internal and external interfaces, other project team members, subcontractors/vendors and client personnel.

Your qualifications:

• at least 5 years relevant experience within noise control engineering from the Oil & Energy, Marine or other relevant industry.
• Strong understanding of project execution
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to explain complicated subjects to non-specialist clients and associates
• Self-motivated and proactive Solution and delivery orientated
• Teamwork skills with the ability to work in an international environment
• Ability to deliver results in time and with expected quality
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Some Norwegian
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering
• Software: Cadna-R;Navisworks (3D Model tool), Microsoft office applications.

To be accepted as a candidate you must be located within EU – preferable in Norway. Important with valid work permit for Norway if not located in Norway.
