The short version of how this work<\/u><\/p>\n

You pay 25% tax. You cannot claim any deductions.
\nBe aware that the income limit having this tax card is 6*base salary amount. The amount for 2025 is NOK 697,150.<\/p>\n

If you are in a situation where\u00a0 commuting cost is refunded by Techconsult, and\/or your income will exceed the NOK 697,150 you must ask to be taxed under general tax rules, not the PAYE.<\/p>\n

You cannot be part of the PAYE scheme for income earned on the Norwegian continental shelf.<\/p>\n

https:\/\/www.skatteetaten.no\/en\/person\/foreign\/are-you-intending-to-work-in-norway\/tax-deduction-cards\/paye\/<\/a>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Am I a formal commuter?” style=”round” color=”black” size=”lg” custom_use_theme_fonts=”yes” use_custom_heading=”true” el_class=”toggle-bp”]By having the status of a formal commuter in accordance with the Norwegian Tax Agency’s rules, you will have the advantage of having a full or partial tax deduction for all costs you have in connection with working somewhere other than where you live. This applies to both Norwegian and foreign citizens. You can also then have such costs covered by your employer without it being taxed as a benefit.<\/p>\n

The regulations are nevertheless quite complicated, and to see if you are in fact a commuter, we therefore recommend that you check out this website at the Tax Office:<\/p>\n

Please note that the rules for registration in the Staffing Register were changed with effect from 01.01.24.

The rates include all costs associated with carrying out the assignment, including salary, social costs, holiday pay and other personnel-related expenses. They are covered by our liability and third-party insurance, in addition to travel and accident insurance.<\/p>\n

For certain positions, professional indemnity insurance may also be required. This is covered up to the standard limit of 20 million.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the process for hiring personnel from Techconsult?” style=”round” color=”black” size=”lg” custom_use_theme_fonts=”yes” use_custom_heading=”true” el_class=”toggle-bp”]Based on your description, we will present candidates to you, documented through their CV and any other relevant information. The rate level and potential start date will also be provided. From there, you can select the candidates you find interesting, and we recommend that you interview those who are relevant.<\/p>\n

Once you have identified the right candidate, details such as start date, duration and other terms will be agreed upon. This will be confirmed through a formal agreement.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How are the candidates quality-assured?” style=”round” color=”black” size=”lg” custom_use_theme_fonts=”yes” use_custom_heading=”true” el_class=”toggle-bp”]All candidates you receive from us will have been interviewed, reference-checked and had their CV verified before we present them to you. If required due to special conditions, candidates can also undergo third-party background checks.
