Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer – PRE (Package Responsible Engineer). <\/strong>   28584<\/p>\n

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer PRE to manage project work and deliver documentation according to customer and internal standards. You will drive improvements in work methods and support project strategies and processes.
\n <\/p>\n

Job responsibilities:
\n•    Mechanical engineering for mechanical equipment. Such as, but not limited to pumps, compressors, valves, actuators, pressure vessels and heat exchanger.
\n•    Establish technical requisitions, datasheets and specifications for procurement. 
\n•    Bid evaluation, evaluation and deviation handling of supplier towards: 
\n•    Marine rules and relevant contract specific requirements. 
\n•    Multidiscipline coordination\/comments.
\n•    Package responsible (PRE):
\n    o    Valve List, Master Equipment List, weight estimates, equipment dimension estimates etc.
\n    o    Supplier follow up – reviewing\/commenting\/approving all relevant documentation
\n    o    Participate in kick off meetings and Pre-Inspection Meetings 
\n    o    Participate in FAT 
\n    o    Proactively work with document control to ensure documentation is timely issued and distributed.
\n    o    Participate in or manage vendor progress meetings.
\n•    Contribute to efficient project execution to the right quality, cost and time.
\n•    Advise and teach other engineers on own area of expertise.<\/p>\n

\nYour experience and qualifications:
\n•    Higher technical education, Bachelor degree- or similar in relevant subjects
\n•    Accuracy in work not affecting the efficiency
\n•    Excellent communication skills 
\n•    Fluent English both verbally and in writing; Norwegian skills is an advantage.
\n•    Experience with LNG and\/or Marine business is and advantage
\n•    5-15 years of experience as PRE<\/p>\n

Personal qualifications:
\nWe are looking for persons with genuine interest in engineering, task and result oriented, structures and systematic, cooperative with positive and proactive attitudes towards new challenges.<\/p>\n

We are looking for candidates who are already based in Norway.<\/p>\n
